Don't Forget to Stretch

Strengthening and aerobic activity are the most popular types of exercise that comes to all our minds, however stretching often gets overlooked. Without stretching, our muscles will become tight which can limit range of motion in certain joints. Another great benefit to stretching is it can increase blood flow and oxygen to all areas of the body (this helps promote healing after an injury!). So during your next workout remember stretching is just as important as weight training or cardio because it can help keep the muscles flexible, strong and increase your range of motion.
Aim for stretching at least 2-3 times per week, 3 reps per stretch and most importantly hold for at least 20-30 seconds!
